In June, Pastor Aaron kicked off a new series about the seven “I AM” statements of Jesus. These are a series of seven declarations made by Jesus in the Gospel of John, which underscore His divine identity and mission. When we understand that Jesus is the hero of the whole story, we will be more effective at living on mission. To date, we’ve looked at: I AM the Bread of Life; I AM the Light of the World; I AM the Door; I AM the Good Shepherd; I AM the Resurrection and the Life. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL June 3-7
This year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) took children on an adventure to Breaker Rock Beach, where they learned about God’s unshakeable truth in a world of sinking sand.
- We celebrated 14 children making a profession of faith that Jesus is their Lord and Savior
- 11 children expressed interest in baptism
- And students raised $3,380.12 for Bible translation to the Baloch people – that equates to 50 chapters of the Bible. Wow!

GOLF TOURNAMENT June 21
What an incredible day at Celebration Golf Club for our first Lakes International Missions Golf Classic. We raised over $15,000 to help send people on the mission field to help spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

KIDS BLAST June 25-27
Over 200 children experienced high-energy activities – everything from soccer and basketball to dodgeball and volleyball on our Lakes Church Auburndale campus for KIDS BLAST! But that’s not all. Students also had the opportunity to make crafts, sing songs, and most importantly learn about JESUS. And the BEST news 11 children made the decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
