Recently, Pastor Michael and his wife Tasha led a team from the Lakes Church Auburndale campus to the Mexican Indian Training Center (MITC). What they experienced there was nothing short of remarkable.
During their visit, a young woman named Mareli approached them with an unforgettable story. She recognized Pastor Michael immediately—specifically remembering how he would impersonate Donald Duck to captivate the children during his preaching visits to the mountain villages years ago. That simple act of joy and love had left an indelible mark on her heart.

She shared that the compassion and dedication shown by mission teams like Pastor Michael’s had profoundly impacted her life. The love she experienced from those visiting missionaries inspired her to pursue ministry herself. Now, she serves at MITC, passionate about sharing the gospel with the same fervor and care that once transformed her own life.
