Several members of our Lakes Church Auburndale Campus recently served on an incredible mission trip, serving at the Mexican Indian Training Center (MITC) in Mexico. The team made a tangible impact—painting, cooking, sewing, and even installing ceiling fans around the campus!

But the work didn’t stop there. During their time in Mexico, the team also ventured to the mountain churches, where they painted, taught kids’ ministry, and shared the love of Jesus. One unforgettable moment came as Pastor Michael Robinson German and Pastor German Rivas had the opportunity to preach, encouraging children and families in their faith. As a result, we are now celebrating the salvation of a young woman named Nadia who put her faith in Jesus Christ!

The team also celebrated the first service at a brand-new church built by a student at MITC! Despite pouring rain, about 20 people gathered to worship for the first time in this humble building—constructed on someone’s own property by believers who give everything they have to serve God and their community.

Wondering how you can get involved with missions at Lakes Church?
- Run or volunteer at the Great Pumpkin Pie 5K at Tigertown on October 17—a fun way to come together as a church family and support global missions.
- Join us after church on November 9 for a Missions Luncheon at the Neighborhood Café (Downtown Lakeland Campus). Enjoy a meal, hear how God is moving through Lakes Church missions, and give toward ongoing needs. Suggested donation: $10.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Together, we can live out that mission—bringing hope and the message of Jesus to the world!
